    PAST SIMPLE

    PAST SIMPLE is used when talking about a situation which took place in the past, obviously, and which is finished.

    There are two types of verbs:

    REGULAR VERBS: To change them into the past, we just add -ED at their end.

    Example: We talked about it yesterday.

    IRREGULAR VERBS: They change into another form.

    Example: I thought that you knew it.

    Before we continue, you should look at this list of irregular verbs to learn at least the most important ones.
